Chapter 10 - Sasha
Sasha followed Ash into the kitchen, aware of the undercurrent between him and Bane. Sheâd be a fool not to know what was happening. All three the drakes wanted her. That much was pretty clear. What wasnât so clear was knowing how she felt about it. About them.
She was attracted to all three of them, that was obvious. For different reasons too. Drayke was intense and as sharp as a knife. Bane was sweet and kind, a huge teddy bear. Ashâ¦well, he was the fun one out of the bunch. The joker. He made her laugh. It didnât hurt that they were all so damn sexy either.
But it went beyond that. For most of her teen years, sheâd ignored the opposite sex. She was too caught up in her training and her need to prove herself to her mother. Boys didnât feature even when Rhea tried to get her to join in when she flirted her way from one boyfriend to the next. Sure, sheâd had a fling or two, and a stolen night here and there meant she wasnât a virgin anymore, but overall, she just wasnât interested. Until now.
More than that. It made her feel powerful. Beautiful. It was a heady rush knowing that so many handsome men wanted her, and she couldnât help but glory in it. Was she playing them off against each other? Being cruel, perhaps? Maybe, but she couldnât help it. Couldnât control the way her body reacted to them.
Even now, as she stood buttering slices of slightly stale bread, she was hyper-aware of Ash. Each time he brushed past her in the small kitchen it sent a rush of warmth to her loins.
She reached for the cheese, and their hands collided. Sasha froze, heat suffusing her cheeks when his finger began stroking her arm. Then her shoulder. Collarbone. Before she knew what was happening, they were in each otherâs arms, lips colliding in a fiery rush.
Ash gripped her hair with his fingers, arching her back as he rained a trail of kisses onto her throat before claiming her lips again. Her nipples hardened, and she gasped when he tweaked one between his thumb and forefinger. Her mind spun as she lost herself in his embrace, only to pull back seconds later with a gasp.
âWait. We canât,â she said.
He eyed her with intense desire. âWhy not?â
It was a simple question. One that made her feel like she should have a simple answer, but she didnât. âI donât know.â
He stared at her for a few seconds then nodded. âWhatever you say, Princess. I just hope you know what youâre doing because people are going to get hurt.â
Ash turned back to making sandwiches as an awkward silence descended. Unable to stand the heat, Sasha finished her and Baneâs in a hurry, scooping them up in her bare hands. âUm, Iâll see you later.â
âSure.â He didnât look up at her again, and she scurried out.
As she carried the food to Bane, she became conscious of the way she felt, and it sucked.
